We’re proud to share that our Wyndham Vale YMCA Early Learning Centre is the latest of our centres to achieve an Exceeding National Quality Standard (NQS) rating.
The Exceeding NQS rating recognises Wyndham Vale’s commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for children and families. The rating is awarded to services that go beyond NQS requirements and demonstrate excellence across key areas like educational practice, child safety, family partnerships and leadership.
The assessment and rating report highlighted Wyndham Vale’s:
- Exceptional relationships with children and families
- Approach and commitment to ensuring child safety
- Consideration to planning and delivery of educational programs for children
Assessors particularly recognised the way educators used their deep knowledge of each child and their family to inform learning experiences and support development outcomes.
Educators drew on their strong knowledge of children both as individuals and in groups and consistently used this information to inform the development of the educational program. A deep understanding of children’s interests, abilities, backgrounds and community needs resulted in deliberate actions of educators and the enhancement of children’s learning, language and development. Educators continuously drew on family interests and activities they participated in at home and during holidays, such as outings and celebrations.
Wyndham Vale now joins a growing number of Y Early Learning Centres with an Exceeding NQS rating. This reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, continuous improvement and positive outcomes for children and families.
