Partnering with the local community

Our centres have close relationships with their local community, which allows us to provide enriching educational experiences for the children in our care.

Many of our centres take children on excursions to local playgrounds, libraries and other community spaces.

Most of our early learning centres are co-located with schools, which helps children with school transitions.

By partnering with our neighbouring schools, we can provide additional experiences and programs for children.

Maternal child health services

Many of our early learning centres are located nearby or within the same building as maternal child health services, offering a convenient location for families.

Swimming lessons

Some of our early learning centres are located nearby or next door to Kingswim swim schools (including those in Epping North, Narre Warren, Kororoit Creek, Mernda, Wyndham Vale, Taylors Hill). This provides families with a convenient location for swimming lessons.

The Y also partners with Kingswim to run their water safety program twice a year. This incursion teaches essential water safety concepts and practical skills to children aged two to five in a fun and interactive way.

Regulatory authorities

We work closely with the Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA), and Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Authority (ACEQA), who develop and guide the National Quality Framework (NQF).
