Explore our Pakenham centre
At our Pakenham centre, we provide high-quality early education and care in a nurturing and welcoming environment.
We're located next door to John Henry Primary School and Edenbrook Secondary College, which is a three-minute drive from the M1 Princess Freeway and walking distance from Cardinia Road Station for easy train and bus access.
Our centre has dedicated spaces for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) as well as music and language programs. We have large outdoor spaces and a vegetable garden for children to explore and learn about sustainability.
As a not-for-profit centre located in a culturally diverse community, we understand and respect all cultural backgrounds of the families at our centre. We know that by working together, we can help your child thrive.

What we provide
Meet our Centre Manager
Carly Whyte
With 11 years of experience in early childhood education, I believe in dedicating time and space for children to grow while recognising individual learning styles.
Inclusiveness and acceptance is at the core of what we do and we want all children to feel confident expressing themselves. We also provide children with learning opportunities through music, movement and dance.
I am passionate about creating strong relationships with families to support continuity between home and care.
Our team of educators can speak a range of languages in addition to English. These include Cebuano, Cypriot, Greek, Hindi, Punjabi, Sinhalese, Spanish and Tamil.
Meet our Educational Leader
Dani Weaver
I am passionate about guiding and mentoring educators to create inclusive learning environments that are responsive to children’s voices, interests, and strengths, in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
I have over 28 years of experience in early childhood education and care, working across a range of roles from Room Assistant to Centre Manager and Nominated Supervisor. I hold a Diploma of Children’s Services, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and am also an accredited swim teacher.
I value the importance of building secure, respectful, and reciprocal relationships with children and families, supporting each child’s sense of belonging, wellbeing, and confidence. Through reflective practice and collaboration, I aim to inspire high-quality teaching that supports children to become confident, capable learners.
Child Care Subsidy
Our programs qualify for the Federal Government's Child Care Subsidy (CCS).
CCS helps eligible families access approved and registered child care providers by partially subsidising the cost of daily fees.
Visit the Services Australia website to find out more or use this Child Care Subsidy Calculator to see how much you might pay.

What our families say about us
We’ve had a fantastic experience at YMCA Pakenham. From day one, the kinder teacher and all the educators have made our children feel welcome, supported, and have taken the time to get to know them. Emily
Wonderful daycare. My daughter is in the nursery and has been since she was 5 months old. The staff are kind, caring and very professional. A lovely daycare that genuinely cares about all the kids that go there! Caitlin
YMCA Pakenham has shown us nothing but warmth since my daughters started here. I feel safe have my child here and they feel it as their second home which is shown on drop offs when my daughter reaches out for her educators and yells out their names. Patrick
